I live in NY City and would love to jump into this project if it is still open for participants.
I added you to the mailing list: Please login or register to view links
You may miss out on the Canon (or it may backtrack to you), but the Jupiter is moving toward you.
Me too please if still open - I'm in London, UK.
@antiphotom : the only traveling lens circuit that got off the ground was in the US & Canada. No one started an EU circuit.
So .... maybe you (or someone) could open a thread and see if EU members want to do one ????
And ..... welcome, as I see you are a new member here.
Thanks, I've been lurking for a while... there is a lot of useful stuff around on some of the threads.
I've got some old MF Nikkors kicking around, I might see if I can kick something off. Does anyone have a list of those who expressed an interest on the original thread anywhere that they could PM me so that I can gauge interest?
This thread, and there are 2 others that are "pinned" in this adapted lens sub-forum. They would show who was interested.
Maybe the simplest idea is to just post a new thread like "Anyone in the EU (or wherever) interested......"
Them's my 2cents.
Is this still a happening thing? I'd be interested in participating if so.
Well, I think this round is just about over.
The Jupiter is back home, after doing it's tour for a year. The Canon is near the end of its trip.
Maybe someone wants to start up a new "Traveling Lens" excursion ???
Just post a thread and see who signs up.
The Canon 50mm/1.8 lens has arrived. I will keep it at least until the sun shines this Friday to get some decent snaps before checking to see if @timichango still has a Fuji to attach it to, or a Canon FD adapter for his (cough cough) Sony. If he doesn't want it, who shall I mail it to?
Oh yeah, the little Fuji guy was in the package as well.
Here is the Fuji-Bot posing for the Traveling Canon 50mm/1.8 lens on my X-Pro1.
The sun came out a day early, so I walked down to the wetland at lunch break and snapped some more shots with the Canon 50mm/1.8 on my X-Pro1:
And the Traveling Canon 50mm/1.8 on my X-Pro1 again, one of my standard subjects, the yellow bench. This lens likes to be stopped down.
The Traveling Canon 50mm/1.8 is very nice focused close:
The Traveling 50mm/1.8 and the X-Pro1 catch the Fuji-Bot having a gas.
Fujibot is a cute little thing.
Looks like you're having fun with that Canon.
sweet, more pics
I'm going to need to figure out who all had the lens. I know some people skipped it. I want to map out its travels.
The current mailing list is here:

but I never kept track of who skipped over.
Sadly, I had to skip over it since I'm in an odd housing situation and more things around isn't a great idea currently. Seeing the above shots I wish I had been able to take a turn with it.
I would like in if still alive
No .... the traveling lenses went around the circuit for more than a year and then went home.
**But anyone can start a new traveling lens project at any time
