If you haven't seen this before, it is worth watching...
thanks, its so strange and good
Yes, thanks for sharing that. It wasn't exactly what I had expected. A bit weird but at the same time very well done.
Cool - I hadn't seen that.
Doubt that ad will get play on NBC anytime soon!
Thank you for posting it. It demostrates the versatility of the original Fuji X100 (the one I have). Is the concept of an unobstrusive camera which costs several thousends less than the one with a red dot.
Its a pity there's not a version in english, even if what's important are the images, not the words.
In my view the language barrier is a part of its charm
Oh, just scrolled some back. This were Please login or register to view links already? So its 6+ and still arouse us.
I like this ad very much, it kind of reminds me of the interpretations of Japanese photographer "Daido Moriyama" amongst others with a style that is unique and all of its own.
I thought the same too
That was trippy. Very cool. Will get my better half to translate it for me.
Damn, just survived a bad bout of x100itis.
Thank you for posting the link to the original discussion, which explained much of the video.
Wow. Makes me miss my LE
Still don’t know why I let it go.
Fuji ran a very successful viral marketing campaign prior to the X100 launch, I think the consensus of opinion at the time is that the first generation X100 did not quite live up to the hype although firmware updates and subsequent models have addressed the original issues.
Personally I love my X100S.
Quick and dirty translation...
“I’m like a stray dog taking pictures everywhere I roam.
Given a choice between a memory or a picture I will take the memory because a memory lasts forever.
Everything eventually disappears but the memories last forever.
Even distant events seem recent.
A picture is credited to the person taking the picture and the subject - the camera makes it a three way.
I wonder if this world will come to an end.
I wonder if I am alive?...”
The missus said this is by no means a literal translation but this is her interpretation.
Thanks a lot!
Would the missus open to translate more fuji ads? I've seen several others fuji ads along the lines of this one.
I might be able to ply her with some prosecco later.
The best x100 ad:
I remember reading all the pre-release stuff on the X100 and understanding exactly what Fuji was trying to do. I pre-ordered at my local store, dropped in to say hi on a Saturday (after dropping the laundry off next door). On the way home he called me on my cell phone telling me UPS just dropped off his first batch. Turned around, wrote a check, took it home and the first real shot I took was a technical shot showing an LED taillight conversion for a large motor scooter...Black plastic, metal reflectors and the LED bulbs inside the housing. One shout outside with flash fill. Done. Perfect. Hooked. The next Saturday I took a 13x19 print into the store so they could see what the X100 could do. Now on my third one -- X100F.
Omg! I love this! Slightly pervy but very well done an executed, love the overall “imperfect” mood of it
After seeing it, I ordered one at Photokina 2010. Was delivered March 2011. Was shooting with it until I finally upgraded to the X100F January 2018.
