swapping tripod collars???

    Will the tripod collars of the 50-140mm and the 100-400mm swap. I think I would like to have a larger collar to handhold and the 50-140mm has the larger collar.

    I don’t believe that will work. I just put a long Arca plate on the foot to make it easier to hold.

    No, because the diameters of the two lenses are different so the holes for the screws are different.

    Is there a good reason why Fuji made the 100-400 so short? I guess it could be a weight consideration...assuming that most users would be using a tripod.

    Try these Hejnar collars. They are sweet. The tall ones have enough clearance so I can carry the lens with thick gloves on.
