Just a simple snap taken in my studio of a pencil point using a 105mm Macro Lens and lighting was provided by three Studio Flash Heads each with a largish Soft box fitted against a Black Paper background.

    X-T1, 105mm Micro Nikkor (D) Lens, 1/180th @ F11, ISO-200, Multi Studio Flash.

Outstanding. This would look good hanging on the wall of a room with modernist furnishings. I’m thinking bachelor pad. :)

    That’s because you’re not a bachelor! :D
It would not fit my decor, either. But it would definitely fit someone’s. The detail is outstanding, the red and black is perfection, and I greatly admire the image. You do beautiful work.

Nice! OP, you may be the only person ever to describe a studio setup with 3 softboxes as a “simple snap”.
For me to do such things requires digging out and setting up the strobes, softboxes, stands, and backgrounds. By which time I’m exhausted and have lost motivation. For those of you lucky enough to be able to leave studio stuff up full-time I suppose a simple snap is more in-reach!

“Simple being in this case nothing difficult in the photography, its just a standard three light set up with a camera put in front of it. I only do simple, complicated is too complicated”:D:D
