The weather forecast for this morning was quite good for a sunrise shoot (40% cloud coverage, sun), so I had the plan to go out and try to capture it. However, as my girlfriend just has a new job that requires her to set the alarm at around 6 in the morning, and I automatically wake up too, my energy reserves were a bit low, and I almost couldn't be bothered. The key-word being, fortunately, almost.

Even when I arrived at one of my favorite spots I didn't really expect much. There was some colouring in the sky, but low cloud coverage on the horizon appeared to block any further development. However, it just kept coming! In the end it was as if the entire sky was on fire. And then it just disappeared..

Couldn't resist sharing, and hope you get something of the feeling that I got when I was watching this ;)

"And then it just disappeared" but not for those of us who get to see your captured image of it. That's why we do what we do. Thanks for posting!

Thanks! It was indeed worth it to get up early. That's the game isn't it. It might be nothing, it might be like this ;)

Lovely colors. I am not even close to a morning person, so the only way I will ever be able to enjoy such views is vicariously.
