I've just started using a manual lens (super takumar 55mm) and I purchased the Fotodiox adaptor for about $16. So as you start collecting manual lenses have you all been getting adaptors for each even if they are the same adaptor? The lens just arrived today. Here is one of my first shots, wide open at 1.8

No, I do not have an adapter for each lens. Instead, I have...

    1. Four Nikon F to Fuji X adapters for eight Nikon F mount lenses.

    2. Two Pentax M42 to Fuji X adapters for four M42 screw-mount lenses.

    3. One Leica M to Fuji X adapter for three M-mount lenses.

I did not start collecting manual lenses. I already had the lenses before I started using Fuji X cameras.

Yes. I have an adapter for each vintage lens. The adapters are cheap and then I don't have to keep switching a single adapter between lenses.

No, it would cost me over a 1000 Euro.

One adaptor that fits all the Nikon lenses I would be interested to use with the Fuji system

I have one for each I regularly use. I have some (many) lenses I no longer use as I bought them jus to try out. The exception is the Lens Turbo. I only have one of those (unfortunately), originally an EOS mount version, but now permanently an Olympus OM version. This was caused by my impatience when, after shimming out the mount to get more accurate infinity focus, I Loctited the mount screws back in and then too soon I fitted a lens with the OM-EOS adapter. Now I can't get the adapter off! Tried everything short of a hammer and chisel.

I've 2 Konica-FX adapters for 8 lenses, 2 M42-FX adapters for 4 lenses and 1 Pentax K-FX for 1 lens and a macro teleconverter. I find the Konica and Pentax adapters are just as easy to change out the adapted lens whilst the adapter is on the camera as they are also bayonet mounts. The M42 is a screw mount so it's more time consuming to unscrew the lens from the adapter rather than taking off the adapter with the lens. I had to adjust my M42 adapters to ensure the aperture/distance scales were top dead centre as the adapter is a screw mount and the manufacturers obviously don't try a lens on them at the time of manufacture. The bayonet mounts were obviously manufactured to ensure the mounted lens was correctly top dead centre.

I have *almost* one adapter for each adapted lens.

The fotodiox adapter I bought for M42 screw mount has 3 set screws that you can loosen. spin the lens to top center, then tighten up. A nice feature.

Yes that exactly the same as the 2 M42 adapters I've got.

I don't have one for every lens but I do have one for every lens that I take on a trip. It gets complicated because I have both Sony and Fuji cameras and only use one system at a time when I'm shooting.

No, but I am working towards one body per lens.

At the moment yes. I also have two adapters that need lens. I sold the lenses and kept the adapters for the possibility of future lens coming my way.

My current ratio is 1 adapter to 3 lenses.

1 Nikon F Mount, 1 M42 Mount and 1 Fuji M Mount adapter. I did have a crazy thought which lasted 1 second about getting an adapter for each M Mount lens, but that's just ridiculous.

Thank you for all the replies! A friend gifted me 3 PK mount lenses so now needing a PK adaptor I purchased a Fotodiox PK/FX. One of the lenses is the Pentax 1.7 50mm and it is impossibly tight on the adaptor. The other two lenses are Vivitar lenses and they are snug but go on to the adaptor. So I bought a Fotasy PK/FX and the Pentax 50 goes on smooth as silk. So now I have 3 adaptors and that, I think, should do it for awhile.
