Hi and welcome
Thanks for the warm welcome. We're having wild weather this morning but by the time the camera and lens arrive, it should be nice and clear. If I can get the battery charged up before it gets dark, I'll head out to the beach or marsh to take some first snaps. I blew all of my Amazon points on the 55-200mm lens as well. I don't want to duplicate what I have with the X Vario so I'm passing on the 18-55mm for now.
The 55-200 is a great lens you will enjoy it.
The camera arrived late this afternoon. The battery is charging. I must say, I'm surprised at how light, almost flimsy the camera feels, especially compared to the Leica and my OM-D.
You must remember that this camera wasn't designed to sell against the OM-D and most Leica's, that would be the X-T2.
Yes. What I found most annoying was the size. I have small hands but I kept pressing controls by mistake when trying to take photos. And I found menu structure to be confusing. I quickly realized that it wasn't the right choice for me, unfortunately.
The size and ergonomics are important. Try the X-T1 or X-T2 in a camera store, or borrow one from a friend for an hour. As I have large hands there is no way I could use either the X-T10 or 20, and still find the X-T2 small, but usable. It may be just right for you.
That's a pity.
Personally I love the size and menu's from Fuji after almost two years with the x-E2.
It took merely a few weeks to really get used to the camera.
*Eagerly awaiting delivery of a new X-T20 within the next few days*
About size: yes, I've ordered the extra grip for the X-E2 when I got it, and now for the X-T20 also.
What extra grip are you referring to John - is it one offered by Fuji?
