Hi, all. I'm new to the Fuji forum and soon to be new to Fuji cameras and lenses. I just placed an order for the new X-T20 along with the 24mm f/2 lens. They should arrive from B&H Photo tomorrow. :) I sold my m4/3 gear to pay for these and am looking forward to trying Fuji finally. Last year, I picked up the Leica XVario and find that I much prefer using cameras that don't require digging into submenus buried within submenus. Hence my decision to sell the Olympus OM-D and switch systems. I was most interested in the new X-T2 but I really couldn't justify the expense, although I'm sure I would have managed if they had been in stock. The lack of weather sealing on the T20 is really my only concern but I don't go out in lousy weather anyway.

    Just hoping I made good choices . . .

Yes, sorry. Thinking I might prefer a shorter lens to start since I like landscapes.

IMO a 16mm would have been a better choice for landscape but the 23mm is a must for streets... Have fun with your new camera.

I ended up swapping the 23mm for the 14mm.

Thanks. Just downloaded the instruction manual. Ugh. I was expecting it to be less complicated than the OM-D.

When I went from the OM-D to the X-T1 the thing I liked the most first was the better menu on the Fuji. Im told the newer X-T2 and X-T20 menus are even better.

Yes Im very happy I made the change. The OM-D was a good camera but I prefer the fuji's jpeg colors and ease of using the controls/dials. There is a transition period you'll go through as with any change but it will be short and sweet.

I sold my 14 to finance my 16... which came out after the 14... the 14 (21 equiv.) is a fabulous FL for scenes and places, and one thing I learned is to never sell a good lens!
I must say I am even more happy with my 16 since I like to get people in the pic!

The 14 is a stellar lens. I'm enjoying the XT20. The touch screen for video is fun. It'll be a great every day camera.

I have not used any Olympus cameras but I think you'll love your X-T20. I also have the X-T2 but use the 20 more often because of its smaller size and portability. Don't worry about the manual, just jump into using the camera and look up answers to your questions as they arise. There is a bit of a learning curve for these cameras but nothing drastic, and this is a nice site with many friendly folks always willing to lend a helping hand.

14 is an interesting choice for your first and only native lens!

    Amy,
You have made a great choice on using Fujifilm's cameras and lenses. Regarding lens selections, you can look into your photo collections to find out your favorite focal length. For me, it is 23mm for street photography.
    Welcome to Fujifilm world!
