I'm looking for a wired cable release for the X-T1 that's longer than the OEM version. I've read somewhere tha one from Canon might work. Anyone have a suggestion?

    I have a Canon one - RS60-E3 - it is 65cm/25.5 inches long.

    I got this one (
) for my XT1 which worked fine and works on my GFX now. When it turned up it was about 3m long which surprised me because I didn't pick that up in the description.

Any Canon (or knock-off) version with a 2.5mm jack will work.
Or get one of the wireless ones and extend your reach still farther.

Wow, sure doesn't look as though it could be that long from the photo!

Thanks everyone. The one shown in the ad is from Amazon UK. The item description says the company doesn't ship to the US. I went on Amazon US, and there it was for less than $6.00 with free shipping. It's ordered.

That's why I was surprised. I hope I wasn't sent the wrong one or the OP may be disappointed.

I went on Amazon and I could not find any remote shutter release's where the cable length was specified in the product description !
    This seems absurd to me.

It doesn't give the length, but it's the same picture of the same product by the same manufacturer, so I tool a chance. I'll post the results when I get it. I'm supposed to have it by May 4.

I ordered it from Amazon in the US hoping for the long cord. It is 3" longer than the Fuji OEM product. It works though. And it's a pin connector, so possibly an extension will work.

The 12' extension cable works like a champ. The cable release with extension is now 15' at a cost of around $13. I'm happy.
