    The Big Kaizen Party
Hold on tight, guys! Because X-T2 and X-Pro2 shooters are going to have a lot of fun soon.

    Ready?

Two (2) sources decided to put the entire X-T2 and X-Pro2 shooter community in a frenzy of enthusiasm, by sharing with us via rumor box what follows:

There will be 2 firmware updates coming. One later this month (March), and another one is currently scheduled for May. And now comes the hot part: the firmware for X-Pro2 and X-T2 will bring 33 improved features, such as:

    • extended bracketing (maximum of 9 shots in total)
    • updates for the AF system
    • copyright info to exif
    • improved video functionality
    • viewfinder enhancements
    • GUI change
    • many others :)
A massive firmware update, worth of the best Kaizen!

Thanks for sharing, anonymous guys with nick-name. And just in case in future you decide to share more tidbits, don’t hesitate to contact me using the same nick name.

(NOTE: firmware updates can be postponed anytime. In the past, Fujifilm gave public deadlines for firmware updates, but it happened so often that they couldn’t respect their own deadline, that they decided to stop any public statement about new firmware release.)

What else will come? (personal specualtion):

    • EF-X500 flash bug fix
    • ability to change ISO via command dial
And what else would you like? :)

P.S.: if you are an X100S/T shooter, please, here is the contact form to write directly to Fujifilm Japan… you may drop them an email asking for a bit of Kaizen Love.

Just google the thread title, and the Fuji Rumors page is the first page.

This is one of the things that I love about Fuji, they try to make existing hardware even better after the sale.
    Keep it coming!

    The extended bracketing would be great I would like -2 -1 0 +1 +2

I would also like the option lock the AE-L button but only for 1 exposure .

1st lock the exposure then 2nd back button focus if I then take my finger of AE-L to back button focus exposure becomes unlocked . At the moment it is possible to lock it for good or have it unlocked . Locking it for only one exposure would stop me from forgetting when five minutes later I go to take a pic and it's still locked to the previous exposure :) :)
Makes sense to me anyway :) :)

We don't allow linking to that site as they are a rip-off site. There is a reason why we have the word 'original' in the logo, after all. :)

No reason to berate a new member over this.

Let's keep the discussion to the topic, please.

I'll take a wait and see attitude on this one. I would love a big update for the T2 with items I care about but there's always so much speculation.

Tethering for the Xpro2 with support for Capture One.

30 second (or even 10 second) 4k video recording on the Xpro2. I know heat is a problem for extended recording but I bet they could manage a few seconds. Why? If you are photographing "the kiss" at a wedding or your child's graduation moment, a few seconds of 4k video assure you have the moment and you can extract an 8MP image. One rarely needs a big print of such things and you can do a lot with 8MP files. Very handy for wedding photographers.

The X-T2 was already a big step forward over the X-T1 so if they round off some of the rough edges of X-T2 it may almost get close to the perfect camera for me.

I really wish they'd continue updating the X-T1 as well. There are plenty of reasons to get the X-T2 aside from the new AF system. I'd simply love for them to implement true back button focus, as well as the supposed new bracketing.

"extended bracketing (maximum of 9 shots in total)"
I wonder if this is going to apply to film simulations? That would be crazy good for street photography, 9 different film simulations on one shot. All the B&W'S! Me likey!!

I certainly want the top three items.

9 shots in bracketing is exactly what I need for good HDR.
Copyright info in the EXIF data really should have been there from day one but I wont quibble if it comes now.
Improved AF features are always a winner but let us wait and see what comes.

The others will certainly be welcome but I want to see the detail and how well it works.

Would be great to see ISO change on the front dial. I'm guessing this will happen as I believe you can do this on the X100F :)
