Great stuff, but where are all the people!
Thank you sir!
It wasn't about people at all. That is another story which I'd like to tell, but I am not sure yet if I have an idea how to...
This time I've tried to capture something, that fascinate me since I saw the Tube first time...
Was not saying there should be more people, just surprised there were so few. Must have been late at night. Anytime I have been on the underground it's always been packed like sardines!
It was Sunday, I left my place about 10am so the first one was taken around 11am. I finished around 2 - 2.30pm. There were people around and sometimes I had to wait until the scene was clear. Sometime I gave up after 10 or more minutes waiting and took the pic with people, but always as few as possible.
London always does it for me (being an ex pat Londoner I suppose). There are interesting candid shots everywhere you look. I always feel like I did many years ago when scrumping in someones orchard. I never knew where to start first.
Such a photogenic tunnel. Like something from a sci fi film.
Oh and if you want people....
Almost identical frame! Thank you.
The others are great, I wish they were mine...
However I'd prefer only my own pictures in this thread... Hope you don't mind.
We can create another thread and invite people with their pics from metro/Underground/Tube.... I think I have one or two from Prague...
Thanks for the comments. A bit weird that you want this thread to be all of your own pictures but fine with me.
Wonderful photos by the way. Really nice.
I have been to The Tube again...
Here is another one:
Few more pics from The Tube, mostly from Southwark station:
and this one is from Canary Wharf.
Few new shots from Virgin London Marathon:
More pics from metro. This time from Warsaw M2 line. And this time in colour...
As my X Pro 1 had a very close encounter with a stone, I bought X-T1. Here are few of the very first pics from the new toy. All taken in the Brompton Cemetery.
I really love your work, and it has helped me in deciding between an X100s, and an X Pro1. I like both cameras, and couldn't decide before seeing this work. I have enjoyed it all, but what really stands out to me is how clean the railway stations are! That is in Stark contrast to Chicago, and New York! They have their own charms, but your Images are almost ethereal in their emptiness. Thanks so much for sharing your work with us...
What an excellent set of pictures. You've got a great eye!
Monty, Adam - thank you very much.
P.S. Monty, I hope you will not blame me for your camera choice
The Tube again. This tme from outside:
We went to Portsmouth last Saturday. Here are few pics form the Victorian Festival of Christmas (all XT-1 and 10-24):
(this one I also post in Portraits)
Wasn't raining this morning so i decided to go to the next of the Magnificent Seven of London Cemeteries - Abney Park. Unfortunately it is closed because of the strong wind...
Here are few shots from Tottenham Cemetery:
Normally I do not like that kind of postprocessing but this time I decide to give it a go. What do you think?
And the variation of the above:
