I am currently laid up at home after a foot operation so have been trawling through my photo archive. Here's a few with the X-E2 and 50-230mm at a local fair where the star of the dog training show was this guy who'd previously had his leg amputated after being hit by a car. They are about 20% crops of the originals.

    Hi Jamie,
After spending 6 weeks on the sofa after mangling my ankle in a silly accident (entirely my own fault), I can empathise with your current situation. Hang on in there and you'll be back on your feet in no time.

    Great shots by the way!
    Regards,
    David.

    David,
Thanks. I'll be in stitches for a couple of weeks so off my feet. I remembered taking these last September. Puts me to shame that I'm bitching about a temporary inconvenience. He was incredibly agile for only having 3 legs.

Lovely shot of the dog. I have the same camera and lens and really need to use the 5ö-23ö more.

Thanks - he really was a star. It's a great lens for the price - you can get a new one from eBay UK for around about £190 at present.

Great shots Jamie, I know how much we both love this lens! Don't overdo things, and just think that about the time that you will up and about, Spring should be waiting for you outside. Hopefully!!

    Cheers, Peter

    All,
Thanks for your comments. He really was impressive - his lack of a 4th leg did not seem to hamper him at all. He also had a really sunny disposition. That's more than I can say for me at present. I had my stitches removed last Thursday after 2 weeks and should be healed by end of next week. Only problem is they operated on the wrong part of my foot.:growl: So it looks like I'll need go through it all again at some time in the future.

I wanted to "like" your message but I couldn't for obvious reasons...foot and all. Get well.
